In line with strengthening disaster risk reduction and management efforts—especially with the upcoming holiday season—the Misamis Oriental Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) convened its 4th Quarter 2025 Meeting earlier today, December 19, 2025, via the Zoom platform. The meeting was presided over by DILG Misamis Oriental, in its capacity as Vice Chairperson for Preparedness, represented by Cluster Head Jay Niel C. Añasco, CESE.

Serving as a platform to reinforce preparedness, security, vigilance, and inter-agency collaboration, the council discussed measures to ensure public safety during the holiday period. Comprehensive situation briefings and readiness plans were presented by key member agencies, including the Philippine National Police (PNP) Misamis Oriental, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Misamis Oriental,  58th Infantry Battalion Philippine Army (PA), and the Philippine Coast Guard Misamis Oriental, highlighting their respective strategies for emergency readiness and public safety.

The council further underscored the importance of strengthened coordination, effective information dissemination, and sustained collaboration among government agencies toward a safe, orderly, and resilient Misamis Oriental. 𝐂𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲—The DILG Misamis Oriental successfully conducted its Year-End Parangal on December 18, 2025, at Hotel Conchita, Cagayan de Oro City, in recognition of the team’s accomplishments and the outstanding performance of its field offices.

Provincial Director, Engr. Marisia C. Naybe, 𝘌𝘯𝘗, 𝘊𝘌𝘚𝘌, delivered her opening message and proudly welcomed the newly designated DILG Misamis Oriental Cluster Head, Jay Niel C. Añasco,  𝘊𝘌𝘚𝘌, who also gave an inspiring message expressing his gratitude and reaffirming his commitment to further strengthen teamwork and service excellence within the team. Moreover, he encouraged the team to remain steadfast in their commitment and highlighted the importance of shared responsibility in achieving the Department’s goals and in delivering quality technical assistance and support to local government units.

The activity also served as a fitting culmination of the year’s accomplishments, highlighting the Parangal Awarding, where field officers were formally recognized for their unwavering dedication to public service, integrity, and excellence in the performance of their duties, and for their significant contributions in advancing good local governance.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Misamis Oriental joined the launching of the 96th Founding Anniversary of the Province of Misamis Oriental and the 13th Kuyamis Festival on December 15, 2025 at the Provincial Capitol Grounds, Cagayan de Oro City, in support of the province’s celebration of history, heritage, and the resilient Misamisnon spirit.

The activity was attended by Provincial Director Engr. Marisia C. Naybe, together with Program Manager Alexander M. Miego and LGOO III Rey S. Omac, representing DILG Misamis Oriental in solidarity with the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental under the dynamic leadership of Governor Juliette T. Uy.

The event was highlighted by the presentation of the Miss Kuyamis 2026 candidates, showcasing grace, confidence, and provincial pride. This was followed by a presentation from the Association of Department Heads of Misamis Oriental. Governor Juliette T. Cagayan de Oro City, Dec 11, 2025—The DILG Misamis Oriental conducted an Orientation on Local Government Unit (LGU) Profiling at Hotel Conchita, Cagayan de Oro City, aimed at providing information and a walkthrough in generating accurate and comprehensive governance data. The activity brought together the City/Municipal Planning and Development Officers and LGPMS Focal Persons from the LGUs of Misamis Oriental, to ensure a uniform understanding of the profiling tools, timeline, and processes.

On behalf of DILG Mis Or Provincial Director, Engr. Marisia C. Naybe, Program Manager, Alexander M. Miego, gave an opening message highlighting the importance of LGU profiling in assessing local governance performance.
