𝗗𝗜𝗟𝗚 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗲-𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Misamis Oriental kick-started the conduct of the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangay (SGLGB) Pre-Assessment last April 7-10, 2025 with the municipalities of Medina and Villanueva. The pre-assessment for 19 barangays of Medina was held on April 7–9, 2025 at Hotel Conchita, Cagayan de Oro City, while Villanueva’s two mentored barangays were assessed on April 10, 2025 at the DILG Provincial Office Function Hall.

During her opening message, DILG Misamis Oriental Provincial Director Engr. Marisia C. Naybe shared Simon Sinek’s quote, “Leadership is not about being in charge; it is about taking care of those in your charge,” which emphasizes that leadership is primarily about serving and caring for the people under one’s responsibility, rather than just holding a position of authority.

April 4, 2025 – El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental, Philippines – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Misamis Oriental successfully conducted an inspection of the Concreting of Farm to Market Road at Barangay Bolisong, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental under the Support to Local Government Unit Initiatives Fund (SGLGIF) 2023.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗼𝗸 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲

April 3, 2025 – Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, Philippines – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Misamis Oriental successfully conducted an inspection of the Construction of Dumaguok Bridge in Barangay Upper Jasaan, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental.

The inspection was led by DILG Misamis Oriental Provincial Director Engr. Marisia C. Naybe, EnP, CESE, along with PDMU Engineers Engr. Jonathan B. Comcom and Engr. Clinico G. Cabeltes Jr. Also present were Municipal Local Government Operations Officer of Jasaan Ma. Nilda C. Veloso, the Municipal Engineering Office led by Engr. Vincent Paul B. Cabello and MEO staff John Michael P. Badiang, as well as representatives from the contractor. Municipal Planning Officer Emilyn Cabeltes and Municipal Administrator Dr. Johannes D. Salcedo also participated in the inspection.

𝗗𝗜𝗟𝗚 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗟𝗖𝗣𝗖 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

DILG Misamis Oriental initiated the CY 2025 Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) Functionality Assessment on April 3, 2025. This evaluation of City and Municipal Councils (C/MCPC) aims to enhance child protection programs province-wide. The Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (PIMTF) convened, led by DILG-Misamis Oriental and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), with representatives from DepEd, PPDO, PHO, and Balay Mindanaw, ensuring a collaborative review.
